For those new to the subject, Submerged Combustion is a method of heating liquid whereby the products of combustion are forced through solution. The technology differs from conventional indirect methods. With Submerged Combustion the heat transfer occurs directly between gas bubbles and the solution, hence there are no heat transfer surfaces to foul. The heat exchange occurs directly between the products of combustion and the solution: The upshot of all this is that the whole process very efficient indeed.
